At AFFIRMIFI, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy outlines what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under relevant privacy laws.

- Payment information (handled by Apple/Google)

We do not sell your data to third parties.
2. Consent & Legal Basis (GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, CDPA, NYPA)
- We obtain explicit user consent before collecting any personal or mood-related data.
- You have the right to:
- Access and request a copy of your data
- Correct or update your information
- Request deletion ("right to be forgotten")
- Opt out of data processing or analytics
- We comply with GDPR, CCPA/CPRA (California), Virginia CDPA, New York Privacy Act (NYPA), and other emerging U.S. state privacy laws.

3. Health & Medical Information (HIPAA, FTC)
AFFIRMIFI is not intended for medical use and does not qualify as a HIPAA-covered entity. However:
- If we ever process health-related insights, they are general in nature (not PHI).
- In the event of a data breach involving personal health records, we will comply with the FTC Health Breach Notification Rule, including prompt notification to affected users and the FTC.
4. AI Content & Disclaimer
AFFIRMIFI uses artificial intelligence to generate personalized affirmations and emotional support content. While designed for positive mental wellness:
- Content is not reviewed or created by licensed medical professionals
- It is not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any condition
- Always seek guidance from qualified professionals for mental or physical health concerns
5. Accessibility Statement (ADA & WCAG 2.1 Compliance)
We are actively working to make AFFIRMIFI accessible to all users. We are committed to providing an inclusive experience for users of all abilities.

- High-contrast UI and font scaling
- Text alternatives for audio content
- Accessible labeling of buttons and navigation

6. Consumer Protection & Fair Use (FTC)
We comply with the FTC Act, meaning:
- We do not make deceptive claims about features or health benefits
- We disclose the nature of AI-generated content
- All advertising and promotional content reflects truthful capabilities of the app
7. Medical Device Statement (FDA)
AFFIRMIFI is designed for general wellness only. It is not a diagnostic or treatment tool and is not regulated as a medical device under FDA guidelines.
If any future functionality changes that classification, we will seek appropriate FDA review.
8. Age Restriction & COPPA Compliance
AFFIRMIFI is intended for users 16 years and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has used the app, please contact us immediately to remove any data.
9. International Use
If you are accessing AFFIRMIFI from outside the United States (e.g., EU, UK, Canada), by using the app, you consent to data processing in accordance with GDPR and local privacy laws.
